NEW YORK — Sigourney Weaver is returning to the mists.
The thesp will travel to Rwanda to revisit the legacy of Dian Fossey, the animal conservationist she played in Michael Apted’s “Gorillas in the Mist” as part of an hourlong special for Animal Planet.
“Gorillas Revisited With Sigourney Weaver” will look at Fossey’s life and describe the impact that her work had in preventing gorilla extinction.
Docu, to be narrated by Weaver, is produced by the BBC’s Natural History Unit for the animal network.
Show will preem next June.
