Disney’s international TV arm has put together a TV and cable deal in Italy for its hit ABC drama “Desperate Housewives,” inking with pubcaster RAI for the terrestrial rights and Fox Life for basic cable rights.
Series will be broadcast in Italy under the name “Desperate Housewives: The Secrets of Wisteria Lane” and will launch first on the Sky Italia basic cable channel Fox Life on Feb. 17. The RAI run will begin next fall.
Deal was unveiled Monday in London by Alison Homewood, VP of the Mouse House foreign distribution unit Buena Vista Intl. TV.
