Trio tapped for ‘Current’

Bryant to be based on West Coast; Faulkner, Malave on East Coast

Twentieth TV has signed the first three correspondents for its new edition of “A Current Affair,” which kicks off on the Fox-owned TV stations and other outlets in firstrun syndication on March 21.

The correspondents are Michel James Bryant, Harris Faulkner and Tina Malave.

Bryant was the legal expert and consumer reporter for the syndicated TV magazine “Extra.” Faulkner was most recently principal weeknight news anchor for ABC affil KSTP Minneapolis. Malave was host of the NBC reality show “Next Action Star.”

Bryant will operate out of the West Coast bureau of “Current Affair.” Faulkner and Malave will work at the show’s East Coast headquarters.

Tim Green is the host of “Current Affair.” Producers are Peter Brennan, John Tomlin and Bob Young. Ian Rae is consulting producer.
