BERLIN — Paybox Premiere will launch Germany’s first gambling channel, Premiere Win, this year, execs said Thursday.
Premiere Win will focus primarily on international horse racing but sports betting and gaming based on Premiere programming will be “intelligently integrated,” according to topper Georg Kofler.
Kofler expected Premiere’s second-quarter subscription figures to be better than last year. The platform is aiming to boost its 3 million customer count to 4 million within the next three years, he said.
Meanwhile, Premiere will increase prices for live soccer starting Aug. 1 as part of a restructuring of its channel packages.
Live German soccer matches will no longer be exclusively attached to Premiere’s sports package, but instead be available as a single packet to any subscriber for E14.90 ($18) a month.
Premiere’s sport channel, which currently includes live Bundesliga soccer matches, is available for about $30 a month.
Following the new pricing scheme, Premiere Sport will cost $24 a month sans live soccer or $42 with it.
