Prime minister gets his own show

World Brief

PRAGUE — Czech Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek hopes to improve his government’s sagging popularity before next year’s general elections by hosting a TV show in which he will respond to questions emailed by viewers.

“Ask Your Premier” will air every two weeks at 8 p.m. on Thursdays on cable and satellite TV station TV 24CZ starting June 2.

“My goal is to make politics accessible to the widest possible range of citizens, to bring myself closer to everyday problems of upstanding citizens,” says Paroubek, who took office April 25.
