MIAMI — Univision Communications has upped Bert Medina to senior VP and operating manager of its second broadcast network, Telefutura.
Medina replaces Alina Falcon, who was promoted Feb. 22 to exec VP and operating manager of the flagship Univision network.
Since 1998, Medina has been VP-general manager of the Chicago TV stations WGBO-Univision and WXFT-Telefutura. Now based in Miami, he will oversee all aspects of Telefutura and report directly to Ray Rodriguez, prexy and chief operating officer of Univision Communications.
Univision has tapped Vincent Cordero to replace Medina in the veep-G.M. position in Chicago. Cordero was VP for business development and labor affairs. He will report to Univision Television Group co-prexys Mike Wortsman and Tom Arnost.
