World Brief

Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA) and National Geographic Digital Media have signed a multiyear reciprocal distribution agreement to represent content from each other’s archives in their respective markets.

The partnership gives INA rights to license National Geographic footage in France and French-speaking Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland, while National Geographic is granted rights to license INA footage in the U.S.

The largest audiovisual archive center and online-footage library in the world, INA has exclusive newsreels collections from 1914 to 1969 as well as France’s entire public television programming lineup since the first French television broadcast in 1949. This will be complemented by National Geographic’s footage on a variety of subjects.
