Hurley to strut on ‘Catwalk’

Reality skein based on Bravo's 'Project Runway'

HOLLYWOOD — Elizabeth Hurley will host “Project Catwalk,” the first U.K.-based TV competition to focus on fashion design, due to air next year on satcaster channel Sky One.

Format is based on Bravo’s “Project Runway,” which was produced by Miramax Television.

Produced by Elisabeth Murdoch’s Shine shingle, the series will feature a panel of industry figures as judges and industry mentors, who will select and mold budding talents. In a parallel competition, 12 models battle it out to become the designers’ muses.

“There were many U.K. production companies who wanted access to the ‘Project Runway’ format,” executive producer Harvey Weinstein said. “Ultimately I felt that Elisabeth Murdoch and Shine were the best choice.”

Series producer is Lionel Mill.  Executive producers are Hurley, Murdoch, Weinstein and Sam Anthony.  Executive producer for Sky TV is Andrea Hamilton.
