Net taps veep of programming

HOLLYWOOD — The Hallmark Channel has handed senior stripes to VP of programming and acquisitions Scott Anderson.

L.A.-based Anderson oversees and manages acquisitions, planning and negotiations. He will continue to report to exec VP of programming David Kenin.

Since joining the cabler in 1998, Anderson has negotiated Crown Media’s third-party acquisitions including “Judging Amy,” “JAG,” “Walker, Texas Ranger” and “Diagnosis Murder.” He also acquired rights to Disney films such as “The Parent Trap,” “Jungle to Jungle,” “Flubber” and “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.”

Anderson was previously founder and prexy-CEO of Anderson Media Group.
