Dori to beam telenovelas to Indonesia

Vision 2 is TV group's first foreign broadcaster

BERLIN — Swiss-based TV group Dori Media Intl. is expanding into Asia with the launch of telenovela satellite channel Vision 2 in Indonesia.

Dori Media Intl. is a subsidiary of Israel’s Dori Media Group, which operates telenovela channels Viva and pay web Viva Platina in Israel. It also produces the genre for Latin America and distributes internationally from its 2,500-hour library.

Vision 2 is its first foreign broadcaster. A joint venture with satellite channel operator Indovision, Vision 2 will launch in March and broadcast from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Dori Media Intl. CEO Conrad Heberling, former marketing chief at German web RTL 2, also is mulling a digital telenovela channel in Germany.
