TV show merchandise provider Delivery Agent has secured $5.5 million in series A funding from venture capitalist firms Worldview Technology Partners and Cardinal Venture Capital.
Delivery Agent operates and maintains Web pages vending official products from television shows including “Will & Grace” and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” To purchase a tote bag designed by the recent “Project Runway” winner, a customer would click through the Bravo Web site to a page run by Delivery Agent, which deals with payment and shipping of the bag.
Delivery Agent has also developed Just Seen On technology, which enables production companies to catalog the setup of a scene with computer technologies.
Launched in 2001, the company is headed by CEO Mike Fitzsimmons. Delivery Agent has worked for Miramax, Lions Gate, NBC, ABC and Soapnet, among others.
