Long-running skein based on life of Vancouver mayor
BANFF, Alberta — Canuck skein “DaVinci’s Inquest” has syndicated coverage cleared in more than 90% of the U.S. for fall.
The crime drama, now in its seventh season in the Great White North, follows the work of controversial Vancouver chief coroner Dominic DaVinci, played by Nicholas Campbell. The character is based on real-life former chief coroner Larry Campbell, now the mayor of Vancouver.
In its latest season, DaVinci’s Inquest becomes “DaVinci’s City Hall,” again mirroring the life of its real-life protagonist.
The series is produced by Haddock Entertainment and Barna-Alper Prods.
“Stations have responded to the outstanding production values of this critically acclaimed show,” said Ritch Colbert, co-founder of Program Partners, “DaVinci’s” U.S. distributor, which has a worldwide agreement with Canadian distributor Thunderbird Films.
