Witt, Browning part of net's b'cast team
ESPN/ABC Sports has tapped Katarina Witt and Kurt Browning to be part of its figure-skating broadcast team.
Both are major figures within their field who have experience in sportscasting.
Witt amassed more figure-skating trophies than anyone else in the history of the sport, including consecutive Olympic golds in 1984 and 1988. She worked as a commentator for CBS during the 1992 Winter Olympics.
Browning swept to fame when he performed the sport’s first quadruple jump in competition at the 1988 Winter Olympiad. He has won four world championships altogether. His resume includes commentating work for NBC at the 1994 World Championships and Fox at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Championships.
