NEW YORK — The hordes waiting outside barricades on East 42nd Street on July 13 were hoping “Wedding Crashers'” kind view of crashing would work in their favor for the pic’s after-party at Cipriani. No such luck.
Inside, director David Dobkin talked about high expectations for the New Line pic, saying: “the downside is they can impact your viewing of the movie. It’s a $39 million movie, and, unfortunately, sometimes people judge quality by the box-office numbers.”
Pic had cast members channeling unique sources. Bradley Cooper, who next stars in forthcoming fall TV entry “Kitchen Confidential,” said: “I just thought of all the guys I went to high school with and hated. It’s kind of revenge to play a total cad.”
