Legendary animators get place of honor

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences unveiled a 1,200-pound broze wall sculpture, dedicated to animators and show creators Joseph Barbera and the late William Hanna, at its Hall of Fame Plaza in North Hollywood. Joining the toons were the TV Acad’s John Shaffner, 93-year-old Joseph Barbera. Warner Bros. Animation’s Sander Schwartz and Hanna’s widow, Violet Hanna.
