NEW YORK — Winners and losers ate, drank and danced together June 5 at the post-Tony Awards bash in a ballroom on the sixth floor of the Marriott Marquis. Nominees spotted include “The Pillowman” scribe Martin McDonagh and “The Light in the Piazza” helmer Bartlett Sher.
“Doubt” held its party in a smaller room in the same hotel, two floors up. “Spamalot,” “The Pillowman” and “Democracy,” all produced by Bob Boyett and Bill Haber, held a joint party at Planet Hollywood. Also merrymaking were “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” (at the restaurant Osteria Stella); “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” (Bryant Park Grill); “The Light in the Piazza” (O’Neal’s); “Sweet Charity” (Hudson Hotel); and “La Cage aux Folles” (Angus McIndoe).
