Rosario Dawson, Jason Lewis, Taye Diggs and The Donnas all found some relief from the brutal New York City heat at Hugo Boss’ 3rd Annual Gen Art Roof Deck Party. GrandMaster Flash and Tommy Lee spun records from the top of a two-story DJ booth writhing with silhouetted dancers hidden behind white screens while a crew of breakdancers showed off their moves on a stage below.
When asked if she would get up and show off any of the steps she learned for “Rent,” Rosario laughed. “No, that’s not going to happen. But I did have to do a ton of pole dancing. I’d never done it before. I got a bruise on my thigh the size of half my fist. I had fishnet stockings on, too, and I hit the pole so hard I had grill marks on me. I was pretty proud of that actually. The bruise lasted about two weeks, but I was playing a heroin addict, so it worked.”
