As if it weren’t enough for NBC entertainment prexy Kevin Reilly that ABC is crushing his network in ratings. Then his wife, Cristan Reilly, goes and pays seven grand for an on-set lunch with “Desperate Housewives” hunks James Denton and Antonio Chavira. But it was all in the name of charity at Ford’s “Get Tied to the Cause” luncheon, which helped kick off breast-cancer awareness month (aka October) with an auction and vintage fashion show. The woman of the hour was Melissa Etheridge, who received the “Linda Mancuso Spirit of Life” award from Jennifer LaCorte McPherson. (McPherson came on board at the last minute to stand in for her husband, ABC entertainment topper Steve McPherson, who was recently hospitalized for undisclosed reasons.) “It feels funny being given an award for just being yourself,” Etheridge said. Also in attendance at the Bel-Air Hotel were Jamie Tisch, Lisa Kudrow, Rachel Griffiths, Crystal Lourd, Jessica Capshaw and Regency Television prexy Robin Schwartz. All walked away with Lilly Pulitzer silk scarves, which are available at Bloomingdale’s for $35, with proceeds benefiting cancer-research orgs.
