Childhelp aids severely abused children ages 6-12
WHO: Angel Pals, the Los Angeles entertainment auxiliary of child abuse service organization Childhelp USA
WHAT: Pool party and lunch at the Village of Childhelp West in Beaumont, a group home about 90 miles east of Los Angeles
WHY: Childhelp aids severely abused children ages 6-12 who have been made wards of the state of California. They’re desperate for one-on-one contact with adult role models. Angel Pals matches music and entertainment professionals with the children for outings at theme parks, zoos, parks, bowling and the like. Childhelp picks up most costs.
WHEN: The pool party is Saturday from noon-3:30 p.m., but Angel Pals works to coordinate bimonthly outings between kids and volunteers.
