Richard Kenneth Wright

Prop master

Prop master Richard Kenneth Wright, who worked extensively with Bobby and Peter Farrelly on their films, died in Glendale on Tuesday of complications from a brain aneurysm that occurred on the set of his latest film, “Peaceful Warrior.” He was 65.

Wright’s credits include “Stuck on You,” “Shallow Hal,” “Me, Myself & Irene,” “There’s Something About Mary,” “Kingpin” and “Dumb & Dumber.”

“Richard put the ‘master’ back into prop master. He was zenlike on the job, pouring all of his energy, caring and considerable wisdom into his craft. We’ll deeply miss him, both on a professional level and as a dear friend,” the Farrellys said.

Richard is survived by his mother, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. today at Gates, Kingsley & Gates Mortuary, 1925 Arizona Ave., Santa Monica. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary chapel.
