Justen Dardis

Literary agent

Literary agent Justen Dardis died April 18 in Los Angeles of complications from respiratory failure. He was 51.

A memorial will be held May 24 at 7 p.m. at the Center, 1125 N. McCadden Pl., Hollywood.

Dardis began his career at The Agency and followed that with stints at Susan Smith & Associates, then APA. He planned to attend UC Davis Law School in the fall, and planned to practice civil rights law concentrating on the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community.

Donations may be made to The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, PAWS, or Caring for Children and Families with AIDS.
