Labor relations exec Edward Prelock died in Glendale on March 11.

He began his career at Walt Disney, and in 1975 was recruited during a time of turmoil to become chief operating officer at the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers. After about eight years with the AMPTP, he served as counsel for Teamsters local 399.

He is survived by wife Mary Ann, his mother, and a brother,.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., March 31 at La Canada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Blvd., La Canada.
