New segs will bow sometime next year.
Liz Gately created and exec produces “Laguna” alongside MTV’s Tony DiSanto and Go Go Luckey Prods.’ Gary Auerbach.
Also from the team behind “Laguna,” “8th & Ocean” will follow a group of aspiring fashion models living and working in South Beach, Fla. Like “Laguna,” show will be shot like a scripted drama — sans interviews and confessionals. Gately exec produces with DiSanto, Andrew Hoegl and Jonathan Singer (MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out”) also exec produce. Skein is slated for a first-quarter premiere.
” ‘Laguna Beach’s’ blend of fly-on-the-wall teen drama and entertainment has connected with our audience,” MTV Networks Music Group entertainment president Brian Graden said. “‘8th & Ocean’ will build upon this distinctive method of storytelling.”
Season finale for “Laguna” bows Nov. 14.
