Former “Good Morning America” correspondent-producer Mindy Moore has been tapped VP of alternative development for Fox TV Studios.
Moore’s appointment reunites her with Holly Jacobs, the exec VP of alternative at FTVS to whom Moore will report. Duo worked together at ABC and Buena Vista.
“We consciously decided to seek out an executive from the producer ranks,” Jacobs said. “With her experience in producing and creating primetime reality shows, syndicated talk and latenight series and news, I know (Moore) … will help bring in fresh untapped talent and ideas.”
Moore created and exec produced, with Shapiro/Grodner, the ABC skein “The Family,” which did well overseas as “What the Butler Saw.” More recently, she created and exec produced ABC spec “The Great Domestic Showdown” and served as a senior producer on “Big Brother 5.”
Early in her career, Moore was a producer and road correspondent for “GMA” and later worked on the early years of “The View.”
