WB, Plan B visit ‘Missouri’

Net buys laffer pitch from Ruehl

Warner Bros. has decided to go to “Las Vegas, Missouri,” buying a comedy pitch from TV writer Paul Ruehl and setting up the project with Plan B along with Alec Berg and Jeff Schaffer.

Studio is keeping details of the sub-urban comedy under wraps. Jeremy Kleiner and Plan B chief Dede Gardner brought the project into production exec Jeff Clifford at Warner Bros.

Ruehl has worked on “Oh Grow Up” and “The O’Keefes.” He most recently wrote a pilot for CBS.

Berg and Schaffer teamed with David Mandel to pen “Eurotrip,” with Schaffer receiving helming credit. The duo also were scribes and showrunners on “Seinfeld.”
