WASHINGTON — In honor of its former leader, the Motion Picture Assn. of America announced Tuesday that it will rechristen its D.C. headquarters the Jack Valenti Building.
Ceremony, to take place June 22, will salute Valenti’s 38 years of stewardship, which ended last year with his retirement.
Current org topper and Valenti successor Dan Glickman will preside.
Valenti has remained an outspoken advocate for the film industry, and he retains an office in the building, where he continues to oversee MPAA movie ratings.
