U.S. skeins facing off at Monte Carlo

Fest runs June 26-July 1

AMSTERDAM — HBO’s “Six Feet Under” and “The Sopranos,” NBC’s “The West Wing” and comedy series “Scrubs” and “Will & Grace” plus Fox’s “Arrested Development” are the U.S. contenders for the Monte Carlo Television Festival’s Golden Nymph awards.

The Producers Guild of America selected the nominees for the fest, which runs June 26-July 1.

An international jury of TV industry creatives, including writers, directors, producers and thesps, will choose the producer, actress and actor honorees in drama and comedy from among nominees from around the globe.

Last year “Six Feet Under” and “Sex and the City” walked away with producer Nymphs.
