Tykes and tots thronged “Pooh’s Heffalump Movie” at a lively Gotham shindig Saturday.
Some partygoers were momentarily indignant at being blocked from taking their balloons inside the theater — the Loews at 68th and Broadway — but fell silent when the curtain rose on the animated pic.
“Winnie the Pooh films hold a special place in so many people’s heart,” said DisneyToon Studios’ Sharon Morrill.
“And to now be able to introduce a new character to the Hundred Acre Wood, an adorable heffalump named Lumpy, is fantastic. You can see Lumpy is going to be a big hit when you look at the faces of the children coming out of the theater.”
