MIAMI — Telemundo has started production on its newest original telenovela, “Corazon partido,” in tandem with programming partner Argos, a Mexican producer.
The Mexico City-set sudser follows a familiar novella as a young woman returns home in search of a son who was taken from her at birth. She falls in love with a married man who turns out to have adopted the child. The new novela will launch this quarter.
Series stars Dann Garcia, Jose Angel Llamas, Saby Kamalich, Carlos Torres and Carlos Torres Torrija, and is directed by Moises Ortix Urqidi.
Production is being shot at a Mexico City manse as well as Argos studios, and on location at facilities of two of the country’s major tequila producers, Cuervo and Sauza.
Telemundo execs have said they plan to expand their productions with Argos in Mexico.
