It wasn’t your usual Broadway preem. Suzanne Somers opened her one-woman “The Blonde in the Thunderbird” on a Saturday …in July.
In true rock-star style, there were two video screens onstage to project her blondeness to the last row of the gargantuan 1,044-seat Brooks Atkinson Theater.
Just leave it to Hollywood to show Broadway how to make an entrance. Come party time at Bolzano’s, the former “American Graffiti” bit player showed up in a 1957 T-Bird with cop sirens blaring. Most Broadway divas don’t even know how to work the Crystal Room at Tavern on the Green, much less all of West 45th Street. Whether that translates into ticket sales remains to be seen.
