‘Sex’ star staying married to HBO

Parker pacts with cabler over series

HBO and Sarah Jessica Parker are getting in bed together again.

Thesp has struck a rich two-year deal with the paybox that calls for her to develop and produce series and longform programming exclusively for HBO via her Pretty Matches Prods. banner.

Net entertainment president Carolyn Strauss said Parker’s “great talents and unique sensibilities will guide a new generation of cutting-edge programming for HBO.”

Parker is the latest of the “Sex and the City” alumnae to pact with HBO since the “Sex” signoff.

Exec producer Michael Patrick King is already in production on “The Comeback,” which is slated to debut in June. Comedy series stars Lisa Kudrow as a B-list actress attempting to make a career comeback.

“Sex” leading ladies also have been in business with the cabler. Kristin Davis signed a pact that called for her to star in a series vehicle for HBO. But that holding deal has since expired, a spokeswoman for HBO confirmed, and Davis recently inked to star in the ABC comedy pilot “Soccer Moms.”

Cynthia Nixon is starring as Eleanor Roosevelt in the upcoming HBO original movie “Warm Springs,” opposite Kenneth Branagh. And Kim Cattrall just wrapped production on the latenight doc “Sexual Intelligence,” which will air on the cabler.

Parker is shooting feature “The Family Stone” for director Thomas Bezucha. Thesp’s next feature projects include “Failure to Launch” and “Love Walked In.”
