ProSieben to double dividends

Broadcast group to distribute $81.7 million

BERLIN — Shareholders of Haim Saban’s ProSiebenSat 1 will get a sizable increase in dividends for 2004.

The broadcast group will distribute $81.7 million, or 54% of ProSiebenSat 1’s balance sheet profit of $153 million, it announced Wednesday.

ProSiebenSat 1’s executive and supervisory boards will propose a dividend of 39% per share of preferred stock and 36% per share of common stock for fiscal 2004 — double what the company paid out last year — at the May 13 annual shareholders meeting.

Company will carry forward $71 million to the new accounting period.

A total of $2.6 million of the balance sheet profit of $44 million was distributed last year to preference shareholders who received a dividend of 2.6% per preferred share.
