Parents pile up charity

Benefit has celebs open hearts, wallets

Parents Action for Change, an advocacy group founded by Rob Reiner, honored Cheryl Saban at its annual fundraising dinner at the BevHilton on Wednesday.

“Your wallets and your hearts are always open,” Saban told the crowd, which blended a mix of showbizzers and politicos who contributed more than $1 million to the org.

On hand to entertain were comedians Jay Leno, Ray Romano and Robert Klein. Leno congratulated Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa on becoming L.A.’s first Hispanic hizzoner in more than a century, quipping, “Hopefully this will open the door and encourage more Latinos to come to Los Angeles.”
