NEW YORK — Carol-Lynn Parente has been promoted to exec producer of “Sesame Street” from senior producer.

Parente will be responsible for the overall production process of the domestic version of the kids show, now in its 36th season. She will report to Liz Nealon, senior VP of the creative department at Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit org that oversees the skein.

Parente has risen through the ranks at “Sesame Street,” where she has worked in some capacity for the past 17 years. Parente has overseen animation and post-production on the “Elmo’s World” segments, developed short films for the show and overseen “Sesame”-branded homevideos.
