NFL Net quite the exhibitionist

'Total Access' starts on Aug. 13

NEW YORK — The NFL Network will carry a record 55 pro-football exhibition games this year, six of them live, starting with the Oakland Raiders vs. the San Francisco 49ers on Aug. 13.

Drawing on the TV feeds of the local TV stations, NFL Network will make use of both sets of announcers on a given game. In the Aug. 13 game, NFL Network will carry the announcers of the home 49ers during the first half and the crew of the Raiders for the second half.

A series called “NFL Total Access: No Huddle” will focus on the live preseason games in progress, shifting among them to keep viewers up to date. On some days, like Aug. 20, “No Huddle” will whip around to cover the action in nine live games.
