NBC’s Ebersol back on job

Peacock chairman returns to work

NEW YORK — NBC Universal Sports chairman Dick Ebersol reported to work Tuesday for the first time since he was seriously injured in a plane crash that killed his 14-year-old son, Teddy.

Ebersol, architect of NBC’s Olympics franchise, returns as preparations for the 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy, get under way.

Ebersol was traveling with sons Charlie and Teddy on a corporate jet that crashed Nov. 28 as it was attempting to take off at an airport near Telluride, Colo. The pilot and a flight attendant also died in the crash.
