MTV lights ‘Dynamite’

Pic's Heder, thesps Hoffman and Stiller laught it up

See Winners

The 2005 MTV Movie Awards was “flippin’ sweet!” for “Napoleon Dynamite” and topliner Jon Heder.

Pic nabbed three golden popcorn tubs, and Heder got to roleplay.

Event kicked off Saturday with host Jimmy Fallon in a “Batman” parody, revealing Heder as the caped crusader.

Other highlights included Dustin Hoffman grabbing his crotch like Eminem and Ben Stiller doing a parody of politically minded acceptance speeches, warning of “the enemy among us … cholesterol.”

Katie Holmes presented the first lifetime achievement award to boyfriend Tom Cruise, amidst the catcalls and cries of “Kiss her!” from the rowdy balcony audience.

Also accepting multiple awards was “Mean Girls” and “The Notebook” thesp Rachel McAdams, who won breakthrough perf and the best smooch prize, latter shared with “Notebook” love interest Ryan Gosling. McAdams won again for on-screen team, with fellow “Mean Girl” Lindsay Lohan (who beat Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Oscar nominee Uma Thurman for female performance — it’s MTV, so that makes perfect sense).

Heder, meanwhile, who also nabbed a breakthrough nod — and whose pic took the movie nod — swept the musical performance category. He accepted by thanking Michael Jackson, John Travolta and Justin Timberlake for “inspiration.”
