‘Mogul’ docu worms way onto U lot

ThinkFilm pic preems at Silent Theater

HOLLYWOOD — Shirley Jones and Willie Garson were among those at the Silent Movie Theater June 23 for an intimate premiere of the ThinkFilm docu “The Last Mogul: The Life and Times of Lew Wasserman.”

The MCA chairman-CEO was known for being as private as he was powerful; even though he died two years ago, it was still difficult to collect the footage to tell his story. “We screened it last night at Universal,” director Barry Avrich told the crowd. “When we were filming it, they kicked us off the lot.”
