Dickinson to be replaced by Twiggy
“America’s Next Top Model” is losing its Simon Cowell, with snarky judge Janice Dickinson ankling UPN’s highest-rated show.
Dickinson, who claims to be the world’s first supermodel, has been a judge with the skein since it began two years ago. She’ll be replaced by another famous model: Twiggy.
Also leaving the show is noted fashion stylist Nole Marin. His spot on the judges’ panel will be filled by runway specialist J. Alexander, who’s had a recurring role on past seasons of “Model.”
“Model” host-exec producer Tyra Banks and photographer Nigel Barker will remain as judges as well.
UPN said Dickinson was leaving “to pursue other projects,” including an already-taped stint on VH1’s “Surreal Life.”
“Model” exec producer Ken Mok said he appreciated Dickinson’s efforts “and everything she did to help build ‘America’s Next Top Model’ into its current success.”
Skein begins its fifth edition this fall.
