Kelly Lynch has signed to topline “The Hunters,” a one-hour drama pilot at Lifetime.
Thesp, who last teamed with the women’s cabler for the original movie “Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story,” will play the matriarch of a dysfunctional family of undercover government spies. Lifetime greenlit the project to pilot earlier this year (Daily Variety, Jan. 19).
Efrem Seeger (“Queer as Folk”) wrote and will exec produce the pilot, which is slated to begin production next month.
“Hunters” is one of several pilots in the works at Lifetime, among them a comedy from Sally Lapiduss and Debi Gutierrez about a woman raising three kids with the help of both her husband and her ex-husband.
Lynch’s feature credits include “The Jacket,” opposite Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley, and “Charlie’s Angels.”
