International Creative Management has named Richard B. Levy to the newly created post of chief operating officer.
Levy will oversee the agency’s day-to-day operations, including business affairs, corporate communications and human resources. He will also keep his title as general counsel and his responsibilities as chief legal and compliance officer.
Levy will continue to work with chief financial officer Bob Murphy, who oversees finance and accounting.
“Since Rick joined ICM nearly eight years ago as general counsel, he has become increasingly involved in many operational areas of our agency,” explained ICM chairman and CEO Jeffrey Berg. “Rick’s promotion is a logical progression in his career development at ICM.”
In a statement, ICM vice chairman and co-president Ed Limato said he expected Levy’s promotion to allow “Jeff, (co-president) Nancy Josephson and myself to devote even more time and attention to the clients of the agency.”
Before joining ICM in 1997, Levy was an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he was a member of the employment and entertainment practice groups and repped the agency as its outside counsel.
Levy is a board member of the Assn. of Talent Agents and co-chairs its legal committee.
