Murrell leaves HBO Asia for topper position
Kodak-owned post house LaserPacific has tapped former HBO Asia CEO Dan Murrell as chairman and CEO.
Murrell assumed his post Wednesday. He will report to Bertrand Decoux, general manager of Kodak Entertainment Imaging Services.
Murrell had been CEO of HBO Asia since 1997. Before his HBO job, he held senior positions at TCI Cablevision, where he focused on marketing, technical operations and customer service.
LaserPacific also upped longtime senior managers Leon Silverman, Randy Blim and Jane Swearingen. Silverman has been named president, while Blim becomes chief technical officer and Swearingen is the new chief operating officer. All three will report to Murrell.
Murrell’s brief includes strategic planning, long-term growth and pursuing new business opportunities for LaserPacific.
Company’s CEO position had been vacant since Emory Cohen ankled in October.
