International Channel being revamped

Short Take

The International Channel has announced plans to rebrand and reprogram. Move will focus channel exclusively on the Asian-American audience and is intended to attract new advertisers. All European- and Middle Eastern-language programming will be removed by the start of the second quarter.

Overhaul will see an expansion of English-accessible, Asian-themed programming, though some existing programs, such as news broadcasts and dramas in Asian languages, will remain.
