Ricky Gervais’ follow-up to “The Office” got off to a great start last week.
Around 4.6 million — approximately 25% of the available audience — watched “Extras,” a BBC-HBO co-production, when it bowed on BBC2 on Thursday.
Each week features a guest appearance from a high-profile actor alongside Gervais’ character of a struggling bit-part actor. Last week it was Ben Stiller. Series is co-written by “The Office” team of Gervais and Stephen Merchant, and a second season has already been greenlit.
