After wrapping a shoot Saturday (for Revolution’s “Rent”), actress Rosario Dawson ditched a dose of zzz’s, opting to revere some of tomorrow’s leaders at the Fulfillment Fund’s annual achievement awards at the Kodak Theater.

Thesp applauded the graduates of the program — org supports economically disadvantaged students with hopes of going to college — and encouraged them to seek out further education.

“Everyone in the audience knows that if you want to achieve a future of freedom, justice and equality, you have to acquire the skills to do your part,” she said.

Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa was on hand to accept the annual Champion for Children award for his work with community service and in improving schools.

“I’m not finished, though,” Villaraigosa said. “It’s not a lifetime achievement award. I’ve got a lot of work to do.”
