Midseason changes include new title, time

Steve Harvey’s WB variety show is getting an extreme makeover as the Frog prepares to make several midseason changes.

Starting this week, “Steve Harvey’s Big Time” will be more like “Star Search,” featuring judges and a competitive element. It’s also getting a new title (“Steve Harvey’s Big Time Challenge”) and is moving to 9 p.m. Sundays, replacing the now-canceled “The Mountain.”

Frog also begins airing repeats of “Summerland” Sundays at 7 this week, in “Big Time’s” former slot. Second season of the skein will air 9 p.m. Mondays starting Feb. 28, giving “Everwood” a spring break.

“Summerland” will air for 7 weeks, concluding with a two-hour finale. Remaining five segs of the second season will air in the summer.

Net is expected to bow new Fran Drescher laffer “Life With Fran” Fridays at 8:30 starting in March.
