Former Stone Stanley exec Eliot Goldberg is headed to the WB as veep of alternative programming.
In the new post, Goldberg will work on developing reality skeins while overseeing production of current projects. He’ll report to WB senior veep of alternative Keith Cox.
Cox said Goldberg’s 15 years of experience “will be a great asset for us as we try to identify our next reality hit and franchise,” citing the exec’s producer relationships and familiarity with the Frog’s programming brand.
“Eliot has worked on shows that have connected with the WB’s young adult audience,” Cox added.
Goldberg most recently served as VP of current programming for Stone Stanley (which has now morphed into Stone & Co. Entertainment). In that post, he worked on skeins such as “The Mole,” “The Man Show,” “Joe Schmo” and the WB’s “Popstars.”
Before Stone Stanley, Goldberg was director of development at VH1, snagging an Emmy nom for his work on the skein “Bands on the Run.”
