NEW YORK — Miramax exec Liz Berger has jumped to Sirius Satellite Radio, where she’ll handle entertainment publicity for the satcaster’s expanding music, entertainment and talkshow programming.
Berger is the latest in a string of praisers to depart the mini-major as the Weinstein brothers continue to hash out an exit deal with the Walt Disney Co.
At Miramax Berger handled national publicity campaigns for films including “Finding Neverland,” “Hero,” “Dirty Pretty Things” and “Chocolat.”
Berger comes to Sirius as the company tries to increase its profile and subscriber base under topper Mel Karmazin. In January, Howard Stern will take his morning drive show to Sirius from Infinity Broadcasting.
Berger will report to Sirius senior VP of communications Patrick Reilly.
