Alex Oostvogel, the last of the Dutch contingent on the exec board of global production outfit Endemol, has resigned from his position as chief financial officer.
Oostvogel came aboard as CFO in September 1999, less than a year before Endemol was sold to Spanish media conglom Telefonica. At that time, there were five Dutch execs on the board, including then-chair John De Mol.
Endemol was launched in 1994 by De Mol and Joop van den Ende. The latter is now the owner of global live entertainment outfit Stage Entertainment.
Van den Ende exited Endemol when it was sold to Telefonica, with De Mol following in 2004. Since De Mol exited, there has been a steady stream of resignations of Dutch toppers from Endemol.
