DreamWorks book exec Lisa Hamilton has relocated from the studio’s Gotham office to Los Angeles, where she’ll scout for book material and serve as a liaison between L.A. and New York.
Hamilton’s former assistant, Sara Roby, is now overseeing the Gotham office.
Hamilton told Daily Variety that at DreamWorks she is looking for a wide range of projects, “from serious, Academy Award material down to fun comedies.”
Beginning in 1999, Hamilton worked in the book department of Mike Ovitz’s Artists Management Group, first in L.A. and then running the company’s New York book office until AMG folded in 2002.
Hamilton then was an editor at ReganBooks, Judith Regan’s imprint at HarperCollins.
She joined DreamWorks in 2003 as the studio’s New York-based book exec.
